Hey!  I've been to a few cons since my last update.    Life's been keeping me busy, but I'm still always working on cosplays - hopeful that you are too.    For the summer we did a little Noragami group, which was very fun.  For Ohayocon, we decided to be the villains from RWBY, which was a blast, even winning best in Master Division for our skit!  We're hopeful to re-wear those costumes for at least one day of Matsuricon, depending on how their photo-shoot schedule looks.  The rest of the weekend we're wearing Kimonos!  Not just normal Kimonos, MARIO COSPLAY KIMONOS!  I am doing Peach's Kimono from Mario Odyssey.  The other people in my group are all wearing original designs ~ I am so excited to see how theirs turn out.  For this cosplay though, I did a first for me... I bought it.    I couldn't justify the price of making it when it was so much cheaper to buy a high quality one.  Also, it gives me time to focus on and work on other things, like the Sheik cosplay I'm planning for Ohayocon 2021.    Anywho, stayed tuned for more cosplay fun!  Until then, I hope you enjoy the Salem cosplay I made, and the rest of the RWBY villain group my friends worked so hard on.  We all worked so hard.  That wig, bro.  That.  wig.

We went to Anime Ohio a few weeks ago, and had a really nice time!  [That one is in Cincinnati Ohio!]  We are really looking forward to going back again next year.  While there, I had quite a few people ask me for my Instagram information.  I didn't have one ;  After getting one, I ended up making one!  So, now the ShimaiTeam is on the Instagram bandwagon:

Ohayocon... all the way back in January, was amazing as always!   I love that cosplay staff so much.  They are always wonderful to my group, and I really enjoy doing skits at that convention!  For this con we dressed as girls from smash brothers: Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Samus, and Zelda.  To mix things up, since I have done a Princess Peach skit before, we did a skit where Mario and Luigi were dressed as Peach and Daisy, respectively, to sneak into a sleepover.  It's all pg good fun.  If you are interested in watching the cosplay expo, they have a recording of the whole thing!  Our skit is at about 1:37:25 ish.



I am hopeful to get some more professional looking pictures soon to upload here by the end of this summer, but for now about the only picture I have of our group is the one they took for us after we won our award. 



Gojotekicon.... was small, but fun!  It was our first time, and we decided to go in our skeletons cosplay.  The morning of the con, we also make a quick Frisk cosplay so our friend could cosplay with us!  It was kind of a fun challenge, having only two hours to make a cosplay ~ haha!



The judges were nice enough to encourage us to enter their masquerade, and Papyrus ended up winning the grand prize!  >u<  So proud of my little sister!  Professor shy guy's concert was also very fun, as always.  This was probably the smallest Anime con I have ever been to, but next time I'm going to bring better walking shoes and use the really nice nature reserve across the street to take some pictures!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has a great holiday season!  Stay safe!  Stay warm!   I am honestly just thrilled I am healthy this year, compared to last year.  I have been working hard on my group's skit for Ohayocon, and even was able to enlist two wonderful voice actors from casting call to help out with some Mario and Luigi voices.
The voice of Mario will be FishingNet90 [ www.castingcall.club/m/Fishing… ] and the voice of Luigi will be played by Yon Shady Glenn [ www.castingcall.club/m/Yon%20S… ]
I feel so very lucky to have two such amazingly talented people that were willing to help me with voice lines!  Both were easy to work with, and if you have any major projects I would highly recommend them.  The other voices are all female, and were recorded by members of the Shimai Team.  We can not wait to preform our skit for you!  Until then, happy sewing, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
