AMAZING!! Amazing amazing amazing!!! It was really wonderful convention this year! At least for me and my friends. We didn't have time to go to the Artist Ally or Dealers room more than once, or see the game room at all, or go to more than two panels! And I didn't get to meet Black*Star! It may sound like I am complaining, but I am not! It was TOTALLY WORTH IT to miss those things. We spent our time on skits, cosplays, and AMVs, and omg was it worth it.
First off, my friend (who's on the Shimai Team with me, known as G~) won the Nurse Lindsay competition. For those of you who have no idea what that is, it's a cosplay contest for Ohayocon's mascot. The theme was Magical Girl this year, and she was adorable!! The other Lindsay's that entered looked great too!
SOMEHOW THAT STILL BAFFLES MY MIIIIIIND we were able to win BEST OF SHOW for the skits!! BEST OF SHOW?! H-h-h-how?! This was our THIRD skit, like EVER! We are very blessed that everything fell into place for us this year!! (But now the pressure is ON for next year man!!) If I hear a laugh in the crowd, I know the skit was totally worth it! But getting best of show is like some crazy insane dream come true that I thought might possible happen someday far far away. There were a lot of musical skits! Ours wasn't, and that might have helped. But they were all very excellent! (And super nice people!!) When they're uploaded, I would recommend watching the entire masquerade. You'll see the super upbeat fox girl sing her heart out, some super bad ass violin players, the voice of a freaking angle come out of someone who was way more nervous than they ever should have been for the PIPES they had, HILARIOUS magical girls cross dressing a poor con goer, a talented belly dancer to FF music, a sweet dance off in which Medusa does the shuffle, and so so so so soooooo much more awesome. Oh, and our skit is in there too. When they're all uploaded I'll let you guys know and post ours if you're interested in that kind of thing.
And if that didn't blow my weekend away enough, I was also in an AMV Speed editing contest, which I also won somehow. I'll upload that little video tonight onto my personal YouTube (www.youtube.com/user/FuzzyRedP…) with a description that explains the contest a bit more. It was a really fun contest to be part of, and it also let me meet even more amazing people!!
On top of all of this I was able to walk around the hallways a bit in my large pink peach cosplay with my sister as Toad, and can I say Children are ADORABLE!! The group of cheerleaders (because a cheer leading con goes on at the same time as Ohayocon a lot of years) ages 5-10 wanting their pictures with us, the little four year old girl who I had a good 30 minute conversation with about being a princess, all the little girls that waved to me, and all the little boys that blushed and burred their heads into their mom's legs / shoulders.... all of them... my heart melted so much due to their adorableness.
If I find myself in any more significant videos or what not, I'll let you know! Lots of pictures were taken, some film of me lip syncing to "Let it Go" was taken by a cool guy who was trying to make a cosplay video, and some other guy tried on my Peach shoes.
And with that I'm probably done being Princess Peach at Cons for a while. (Until I get persuaded to make her new Smash Bros dress anyway.) I am actually not sure what I plan to cosplay next. Convention wise, next is Glass City Con and then Matsuricon! Glass City Con I'll be in AA, while Matsuricon I'll be there just to have a good time. Chiisaicon will probably also be this summer, but idk what their dates are yet! We'll try to do AA their again too!
Thanks to all my wonderful friends on DA who are so supportive of all the ridiculousness that is me! LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH!!

Ohayocon 2020!
Hey! I've been to a few cons since my last update. :D Life's been keeping me busy, but I'm still always working on cosplays - hopeful that you are too. For the summer we did a little Noragami group, which was very fun. For Ohayocon, we decided to be the villains from RWBY, which was a blast, even winning best in Master Division for our skit! We're hopeful to re-wear those costumes for at least one day of Matsuricon, depending on how their photo-shoot schedule looks. The rest of the weekend we're wearing Kimonos! Not just normal Kimonos, MARIO COSPLAY KIMONOS! I am doing Peach's Kimono from Mario Odyssey. The other people in
Anime Ohio and some other stuff :3
We went to Anime Ohio a few weeks ago, and had a really nice time! [That one is in Cincinnati Ohio!] We are really looking forward to going back again next year. While there, I had quite a few people ask me for my Instagram information. I didn't have one ^^;; After getting one, I ended up making one! So, now the ShimaiTeam is on the Instagram bandwagon:

My friends and I also did a livestream of Undertale on my youtube page! We are no professionals, but we're having a good time with the game so far. It's her first time doing a Genocide run. :) [link]
Right now, we're all working hard to get re
Ohayocon / Gojotekicon
Ohayocon... all the way back in January, was amazing as always! :D I love that cosplay staff so much. They are always wonderful to my group, and I really enjoy doing skits at that convention! For this con we dressed as girls from smash brothers: Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Samus, and Zelda. To mix things up, since I have done a Princess Peach skit before, we did a skit where Mario and Luigi were dressed as Peach and Daisy, respectively, to sneak into a sleepover. It's all pg good fun. If you are interested in watching the cosplay expo, they have a recording of the whole thing! Our skit is at about 1:37:25 ish.
I am hopeful to get some mor
Happy Holidays!!
Hello everyone! I hope everyone has a great holiday season! Stay safe! Stay warm! I am honestly just thrilled I am healthy this year, compared to last year. I have been working hard on my group's skit for Ohayocon, and even was able to enlist two wonderful voice actors from casting call to help out with some Mario and Luigi voices.
The voice of Mario will be FishingNet90 [ https://www.castingcall.club/m/FishingNet90 ] and the voice of Luigi will be played by Yon Shady Glenn [ https://www.castingcall.club/m/Yon%20Shady%20Glenn ]
I feel so very lucky to have two such amazingly talented people that were willing to help me with voi
